(the ones venefica mentioned dfggkjgf i am adding to the list guyse srsly XD)
...Okay, I'm currently tapped out XD If anyone has any games to add to either list, hit me with your rhythm stick!
I'm vaccilating on adding Sypha to the JP list, since you CAN play as her but not quite practically from the beginning like Maria.
(And no, I don't need 'gentle reminders' - read annoying dumb condescension - about the issues with japan, and the women-on;ly train cars, and the hey hey hey. This is about video games - and the fact that obviously games with female heroes DO sell or they wouldn't keep making them. XD Also - damn. For the 'more civilized and progressive' farty fart fart belch whatever, the so-called West really can't walk the walk for beans when it comes to vidya gaems.)
ETA: I shall slowly be updating this list based on comments! You all rock. XD Thank you!
ETA2: Still picking at it. I might break the games down into sub-categories based on genre (horror/survival horror, platformer, RPG, etc.) or based on when one is able to play the character (unlockable after full playthrough, or after fulfilling certain requirements, etc.) or something. I still have no clue about how to work with FIGHTAN GAEMS since those have been pretty good about including women from the start. But, again, Japanese games seem to have a better female:male ratio overall. Mortal Kombat was one of the first to have a playable woman (Sonya Blade), but their balance of chix and doods wasn't so great last I checked. Comparatively, Fate: Unlimited Codes pwns it - and has two Epic Heavy Hitter women, Rider and Luviagelita.
