HELLO KIDDIES *hack cough fail@cryptkeeper* - I mean hi, here's some linkspam. (I am slowly catching up on all the stuff I missed during my beauhuhgherrfggf splat hiatus!)

I missed you guys so I shall bestow upon you shiny internet treats.

I am diggin' THIS site about Walter. :D The guy needs moar loev. The PS2 'Vanias aren't perfect games by an stretch of the imagination, but they're a far shot better than the N64 ones (I'm fond of Cornell (AS A SHAPESHIFTER, hai, his ability to werewolf/de-werewolf was important to the plot and turfing that turfs an integral part of his CHARACTER okay I'm done railing on stupid decisions) and Carrie Fernandez, but let's be realistic here, people - Reinhardt was borderline unusable and making your Belmontlike character useless is as foolish as removing the Belmonts from the plotline...) and the music and character designs are fabulous even if the gameplay needs some help. In spite of the occasional 'whucking fut?' they're fun to play, and they have epic Narm Charm. XD

For urban spelunking, I will start off with the lovely Viewing Hole Gallery.

"I found a digital camera in the woods", or: CATSPIDERS!

Deceased amusement park! When i find the extensive in depth photo site about Okpo Land Park again I'll link that too.

Abandoned places in Japan. This site is incredibly Idea no Hi*. And there's one beautiful site listed - I can't find it right now (I know it's on there though), but it's this ded building where the roof has fallen in and trees have started growing out of it.

Ruins Silent

The Urban Exploration Database

British urban spelunking!

Infiltration dot org is amazing too - I have Ninjalicious's book and it's awesome. This site is full of badass links too.

Actionsquad,, one of whose members once eloquently observed "Man, we’re way the fuck under shit!”

Urban spelunking of the abandoned Kings Park Psychiatric Center - I'm hugely impressed with the thoroughness of the disclaimer (infiltration dot org has these up too).

I cannot urban spelunk myself on account of chronic lung crankiness, but I like doing it vicariously. If you're going to up and try it yourselves - please do take into account the warnings posted by the webmasters of these sites. it's like regular spelunking or rock climbing - you need the equipment, you need the know-how, you need a partner and you need to be careful. I know this is a redundant warning but I ♥ you guys and want all y'all to be safe and healthy and joyous.

In conclusion, crazyass sheet music.

*Idea no Hi/Day of (the) Idea is a cracky, cracky JRPG that never saw the light of day outside Japan because of all the crack. it's quite fun, and does mild dystopian setting without being hamhanded or wangsty, but it's also like - the development team was on the same drugs as Gainax always is, only they hit the stash harder. There's some REALLY unfortunate stereotyping in it that ranges from merely snortworthy (the Canadian villain henchman is a lumberjack and the American guy is cheerfully big-gun-fanboyish) to painfully stupidly BAD and headdesk-inducing (a Jules Verne inspired section features some migraine-inspiring 'primitive islander' stereotype characters argh), but the crack is minable for fun AU stupidity. So yeah, I recognize that its issues are LEGION but I still play it because the funny crack is FUNNY, the party characters are quite likable, and the female party characters are honestly the most badass in the game.
