WoW: The San'layn are very creepy.
Jun. 15th, 2012 10:31 amCreepy and BADASS. Yeah, I know, "no duh", but...it just kind of hit me out of the blue how much so yesterday.
I mean...
Keleseth keeps enchanted pokers in a pretty box and is implied to make Vishas look like a whimpering simp. He also is in command of the Vrykul of Utgarde, all of whom are a good fucking lot bigger than he is.
Navarius made Thrym for kicks (yes, Thrym was for kicks--the flesh golem giants are the main project, Thrym is (to my mind's ear anyway) implied to be a pet project and the first of his kind and no he's not the same thing as Thaddeius even if he looks it) and experimented on a bunch of Argents for kicks (yes, that was for kicks too--listen to what the dwarf in the bucket o' slime says about what became of his brother, and jesus hell even LOOK WHERE HE IS--this is not efficient experimentation, this is a side project for funzies) too. He is not the least bit worried about reprisals either--while the Drakkari are fragging their gods and the Argents are kicking asses everywhere, he's happily Frankensteining away out in the open.
Valanar not only runs En'kilah, he infiltrates the Alliance and plays them off one another and uses the humans' prejudices against them and makes them sitting ducks...and no one is the wiser for ages, because he's just THAT GOOD.
Taldaram runs Ahn'kahet, has no fear of the insurgent living Nerubians...and he actually physically PINS YOUR CHARACTER DOWN AND DRAINS THEIR BLOOD in his fight.
Sandoval is the final contender in the Valhalas arena hierarchy, and--again, we have a Blood Prince commanding the respect and awe of bigass Vrykul.
Tenris Mirkblood lived quite happily in Karazhan for a while. Karazhan. Kara-fucking-zhan. As in Medivh's former digs, the sapient building on the prime ley nexus that may or may not have Sargeras cooties and is one of the most haunted-as-shit things on Azeroth.
Atherann and Theraldis are--well, we know Atherann is a capable necromancer. Theraldis is one of two San'layn to call Arthas by name (Kel is the other) so he must have done something cool to gain that right. But those two are kind of an enigma.
tl;dr undead noble blood elves are creepy, recko'nize XD
And yeah I know I'm yammering about WoW a lot :B I'll have something IRL to post soon I hope, haha.
